Crop Walk Completed
Sunday was a rainy day for a Crop Walk, but two valient walkers went the whole five miles.
The Lawrence County Crop Walk began on Sunday, September 25, at 2 p.m., at the St. Francisville Fire Department. There were 180 participants on this cold and rainy day. Sign of the Kingdom East and West will get to split 25 percent of the money collected for the hungry people. This is the table where walkers registered. Crop walkers walked one mile in the rain in St. Francisville, while two walkers went the entire five miles in the rain. Those hearty walkers were Marge Painter and Diana Mullins, wearing boots, raincoats, and carrying umbrellas. Kay Cavanough is the chairman, and John Clark is the facility's chairman. There were snacks available for the people participating. (photo by Virginia Berry)
