Tuesday, October 25, was a big day at Red Hill High School. Not only was it Pajama Day as part of Red Ribbon Week, Miss Illinois (Hannah Smith) and Miss Lawrence County (Caitlyn Bowyer) visited the school in the afternoon. Miss Illinois presented a talk to students on the dangers of "Distracted Driving." Smith said her personal experience with the topic included losing a friend, who graduated with her in 2010, to an automobile accident. She also stated her father was a fireman who has frequently been to accidents and brought home to her the ramifications of texting or talking on the phone while driving.
